Position: SENIOR METALLURGICAL
               RESEARCH ENGINEER    

APTECH Engineering Services, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a qualified Metallurgical Engineer. APTECH provides engineering services, consulting assistance and technical training to the power generation, petrochemical and industrial markets.

The Senior Research Metallurgical Engineer will be responsible for providing technical direction and technical contributions to a broad range of metallurgical activities including applied research, remaining life estimates, failure and root cause, and evaluation of high temperature material behavior or effects of other service environments. This position will focus on power generation equipment, particularly boiler components including pressure parts including water treatment, feed water, boiler and turbine components. This position requires a thorough understanding of the metallurgy and degradation mechanisms of the materials used in boilers and other power generation equipment. Specifically, candidates should demonstrate detailed knowledge of metallurgy and fabrication processes, and in-service degradation mechanisms (e.g., ageing, fatigue, creep, oxidation and corrosion) associated with metals typically used in boiler construction including carbon steels, low alloy ferritic steels, creep strength enhanced ferritic/martensitic steels and stainless steels and various metal or ceramic coatings.

The Senior Metallurgical Engineer will be expected to develop and prepare proposals, supervise projects, prepare technical reports, prepare and present published papers, develop and present training workshops, and interact with engineering groups within APTECH as well as with other consultants and APTECH’s customers.

The successful candidate should hold an advanced degree in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent (M.S, or PhD) with registration as a Professional Engineer by examination.

Materials Engineers or Mechanical Engineers with a relevant background will also be considered, with a minimum of five years experience in related field or equivalent. A working knowledge of the materials requirements of ASTM and ASME and European Norm (EN) standards especially with regard to design life and post construction issues would be advantageous. The candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to work within and lead diverse, multifunctional teams. Assigned tasks will be executed with limited supervision. Some travel (domestic and international) may be required.

Aptech Engineering Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Mechanical Engineering Data Analyst. A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.

This position requires the ability to analyze engineering and financial data from conceptualization through presentation; proficiency with analytical tools such as Excel or Stat, knowledge of data analysis methodology; use of presentation software, strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Position:
Accounts Receivable / Payroll Accountant     

Accounts Receivable / Collections / Payroll – This is a senior position which will be responsible for A/R and Collections, and for Payroll processing for both US and Canada.

1. Accounts Receivable – Primary duties include daily processing of all customer payments, checks and electronic. Posting payments to open receivables and reconciling any discrepancies.
2. Collections – Responsible for actively maintaining the collections of past due invoices, includes calling customers and providing information, working with project managers and billing to resolve discrepancies, and reporting on status on a weekly basis.
3. Payroll – Duties include printing and copying all time cards on a weekly basis. Entering all US timecards in time journals and resolving any discrepancies. Processing payroll using ADP for Canada and US, reconciling batches, obtaining signatures for checks, and distributing pay checks.
4. Other – Responsible for monthly reconciliations of deposits and payroll records. Will work on projects to support accounting department, assist with audits.

Prior experience with processing ADP payroll a plus.
Must be able to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent communication skills a must.
Accounting degree preferred.
3+ years accounting experience required.
