- Worked as a research assistant to a professor and conducted project with the EPA
(Environmental Protection Agency)
- Research project on the significance of Ethyl Alcohol as a motor fuel and production

- Research project on the Hydrolysis study of sugar cane bagasse using phosphoric
acid.
- Studied and became familiarized with the DAP plant and various process
equipment.
- Worked on production analysis of DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) plant to achieve
higher production rates by designing Dryer and Preneutralizer.
- Devised productive results for 100 TPD of DAP plant by conducting Material and
Energy balance.
RESEARCH PROJECTS
Design of a Gas Pipeline — Designed a pipeline for a particular route and given set of
conditions using Weymouth equation; Compressor stations were designed to suit
requirements and economic analysis performed (August 2004-December 2004).
Process Safety Valves (PSV) — A step by step method has been developed to size the
PRVs; various pressure scenarios have been discussed. Reviewed the PI&Ds and PFD,
analyzing the worst case over pressure scenario. Calculations have been done for all
overpressure scenarios and sizing of PRV has been done considering the worst case
(January 2005-April 2005).
Design of Distillation Column using HYSYS — Distillation Column was modeled in HYSYS
using the Wilson Fluid package. The McCabe Thiele result and the HYSYS result were
compared. The results showed HYSYS is a good modeling tool for the design of separation
processes, such as distillation columns (January 2006-May 2006).
