Recent work includes fatigue crack growth and fracture assessments of pressure vessels and piping in nuclear power plants, turbine rotors, and component support structures; significance of radiation damage on fracture resistance and flaw tolerance of pressure vessel steels; flaw evaluations and retirement-for-cause of turbine rotors; stress corrosion cracking and leak before-break studies and analyses of stainless steel piping; steam generator tube cracking and leak rate predictions; instrumentation of BWR main recirculation loop piping; stress corrosion cracking and wastage of high strength bolting materials; statistical analysis of strength variability in bolting; and thermal fatigue cracking and thermal shock of metallic components.
