Areas of expertise include metallurgical engineering, welding engineering, failure analysis, mechanical testing, nondestructive examination, corrosion engineering, and technical training. Experience includes a broad range of materials and special processes consulting activities in the petrochemical, fossil and nuclear power, and shipbuilding industries.
Work experience includes responsibility for selection and use of materials in power generation and petrochemical plants; welding and inspection of piping and components during and after plant construction; analysis of equipment failures; and technical training in inspection and code-related subjects. Recent work includes reviews and audits of construction and maintenance welding and inspection programs; management of fossil power plant piping and boiler condition assessment programs; evaluations of equipment remaining life; chemical plant fire incident investigations; technical consulting on large legal cases involving refinery and chemical plant equipment integrity and corrosion in nuclear power facilities; and asset evaluations of petrochemical plants and power generation facilities.
