EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineer

• Supervision and Management of several projects related to the Mechanical Engineering Area at OCP Facilities.
• In charge of the development and implementation of a Vibrations Monitoring Plan as a part of the equipment predictive maintenance, where 157 critical equipment were covered without any case of sudden failures.
• In charge of the development and implementation of an Emissions Monitoring Plan in order to set the appropriate equipment maintenance to guarantee the compliance with the regulations that applies to OCP. Management and control of 41 engines (116MW total power) and 10 heaters (160MW total power), obtaining the 100% of compliance during the emissions control monitoring the last 12 months. All these were possible through the maintenance and calibrations recommendations that were given to the Operations and Maintenance Department.
• All the lubricants to be used at the OCP facilities were defined, equipment wear control through lube oil analysis, lube oil changes interval were optimized.
• Development, implementation and management of a Management of Change Software to control all changes to be done at the facilities, pipeline operations, software and others, in order to minimize the impact in the safety, environment and operations.
• Leader Auditor at OCP for the Quality, Safety and Environment Assurance System.
• Part of the implementation group at OCP of the Quality, Safety and Environment Assurance System using OHSAS 18000, ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 standards.
  

Horizontal Pump System specialist

• Maintenance, reparation and support of the equipment used for residual water re-injection, water and crude oil injection, and crude oil transfer for companies like: AGIP Oil Ecuador, Perenco, Petroproducción, Petróleos Sudamericanos, Tecpecuador, Shell Venezuela.
• Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of multistage centrifugal pumps, electrical motors and thrust chamber.
• Installation of submersible pumps at Petroproducción Fields. Assembly and alignment with laser instruments and dial indicator.

Lubrication Engineer

• Technical Support to petroleum companies like Kerr McGee (Perenco) and Gerencia de Oleoducto, also industrial companies like Ideal Alambrec, Conduit, EMOP, EMASEO, ACEROPAXI.
• Support focused to the development and recommendation of lubrication plans, analysis of the lube oil tests, improvements of the lube oil changes intervals, wear equipment monitoring and lube oil performance.

Mechanical Technician

• Support to the reparations of Caterpillar Engines Series 3500, 3400 and 3300, turbochargers, injection pumps, etc., at Caterpillar authorized workshop.

• Project Management — Budgets, profitability analysis, personnel and supplier management, control and tracking of projects, commissioning.
• Vibrations Monitoring — Development, implementation of vibrations monitoring plans. Measurements, analysis and corrections of rotative equipment.

• Lead Auditor for Quality, Safety and Environment Assurance Systems — Implementation of Quality, Safety and Environment Assurance Systems for petroleum companies based on ISO 9000, ISO 14000, OSHAS 18000 and according to petroleum companies policies, and state regulations.
• Maintenance and operation experience of electrical motors, engines, boilers, heaters, pumps, heavy equipment, surface and downhole equipment and others.
